AAPI Action For Palestine
One Year of Genocide, One Year of Resistance March, Downtown Los Angeles, October 5, 2024
ABOUT
AAPI Action for Palestine committee works toward education, political advocacy, visibility, and community building in support of the Palestinian people and their struggle for liberation from Zionist occupation and the apartheid regime.
We look to other organizations working toward Palestinian liberation, including Palestinian Youth Movement, Palestinian Feminist Collective, Jewish Voice for Peace, Korean Americans for Palestine, 18 Million Rising, Little Tokyo Service Center, Thai Community Development Center, API RISE, Korean Immigrant Women Advocates, and Code Pink to organize and protest against the ongoing Palestinian genocide.
For those interested in joining AAPI Action for Palestine, please contact us at nikkeiprogressives@gmail.com or fill out our interest form.

Past Projects
We organized three “Sip & Share” online educational events with Yazan Zahzah from the Palestinian Youth Movement and Palestinian Feminist Collective. The first, on November 28, 2023, was a discussion of the history of the Palestinian struggle against Israeli occupation and contextualized the events and narratives that emerged after October 7th. In the second and third, "Talking About Palestine With Friends & Family," on July 2 and July 15, 2024, Yazan gave a short presentation on the current state of the ongoing genocide and resistance in Palestine followed by a group discussion on how to discuss Palestinian liberation with loved ones and others.
On July 27, 2024 we held a Gathering for Palestine at the Far East Lounge in Little Tokyo to make buttons, decorate pro-Palestinian uchiwa (fans), and create origami artwork for a window display in support of the Palestinian people.
We held a “Postcards for Palestine” event on July 19, 2024 where we wrote letters and made art to raise awareness about Palestine. We also compiled a list of educational resources on Palestine.
In June 2024, we published our Statement of Solidarity with the Palestinian People and circulated it to the press, social media, and a number of other AAPI and progressive organizations. We also created an outreach list of contacts to raise awareness of the Palestinian cause.
